Who Comes to Our San Diego Outpatient Drug Rehab?

We are an outpatient program designed for working adults who are employed and live at home. We provide long-term, sustainable treatment for substance abuse disorders. Confidential Recovery is an excellent option for continued treatment and support once individuals have been stabilized in a detox or a residential treatment program.

Generally, our clients are high-functioning individuals who share the need for treatment in a confidential environment. We also service San Diego's veteran community.

From alcohol to opioids, our clients receive treatment tailored to their needs. We believe that “one size doesn’t fit all” when it comes to treatment approaches. Each individual will participate in the development of their own self-care plan, which is necessary for long-term sobriety and sustainable recovery.

Confidential Recovery believes the stigma of addiction and treatment gets in the way of self-acceptance and treatment. That’s why we treat the whole person, not just the symptoms. We work with our clients to address underlying issues that contribute to their substance abuse. Getting healthy is a marathon, not a sprint and we’ll be there with you along the run.

Why Does Our Treatment Process Work So Well?

Times have changed and so have approaches to treatment. We are conscious of the adage, “If all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail”. Our goal through the treatment process is to instill new choices to our client and help them respond differently to the occurrences in life which in the past have triggered an substance abuse episode.

We use cutting edge evidenced-based treatment processes established by medical research studies showing what works best for each type of client. Our treatment is mindful of the role that past traumas (PTSD), relationships, and mood disorders have on individuals’ battle with addiction. Evidenced-based practices such as

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
  • Embodied Mindfulness

all go to help clients garner interpersonal and emotional regulation skills. These skills support sustainable behavioral choices that are in line with their values and goals.

What Our San Diego Drug Rehab Treatment Process Looks Like

Intensive Outpatient treatment is self-defining. After completing a comprehensive history and assessment with a licensed professional, the client begins their journey to recovery. Our staff has a common goal for all clients – get sober, get healthy and get your life back. Sessions are held in the daytime and in the evenings from 6pm to 9pm, three to four days/nights per week for up to eight weeks initially. Clients will be engaged through a combination of individual and group therapy as well as mindfulness classes. Outside support groups such as SMART Recovery, Life Ring, or AA are a required part of ongoing treatment.

Personalized Alcohol & Drug Rehab Treatment

We recognize that drug and alcohol addiction is complex and impacts individuals, families and communities. Our staff strongly believes in a harm reduction approach to treatment, meeting the individual “where they are” at and building a sound treatment program around them. The immediate goal is to create a safe environment in which to rebuild their lives. …And we are very good at that.

Successful completion of our treatment program provides the foundation for life long sobriety. To ease the transition to sobriety we provide and support Medicated Assisted Treatment, which is proven to increase the chances of long term recovery. We are tucked away in an area that was chosen to provide ultimate privacy in which clients feel secure while participating in their drug & alcohol recovery program—just like the treatment program, the location was chosen to support it.
